I dreaded going. Voodoo doughnuts is a cult so actually I had to go! Otherwise how would you know about it? So we went, Tom and I on a Sunday morning. By the way, he still has not forgiven me for my last post! We added it into our hike making sure we skirted the Mission where all the homeless hang out. That is sort of where Voodoo doughnuts is located, not the greatest part of town. It’s also infamous for it’s lines and if there’s anything I hate it’s standing in line. But anything for my faithful readers! Standing in line in this town is a right of passage. I have never seen so many lines outside of restaurants, doughnut shops, ice cream parlors anywhere else. It has to be Social Media and the younger generation seems to have nothing better to do than join lines.

From Real Simple Magazine: Finding Motivation on Monday:
Slap On Some Lipstick
A 2011 study found that women who wore just a touch of makeup looked more competent than those who go bare-faced. Try a classic Red, which has the power to make even a so-so outfit look polished.
I rest my case.
Tell me, is Portland unique in the lines category??

We had our first Redwood Empire Clipped Wings meeting this week. It was really nice, Georgie’s home has a spectacular view. She made homemade soup and dessert, we all brought salads. Your were missed.
We will be leaving for Portland on December 23. If you want to come early and stay with us Sunday and Monday night, we could maybe go out on Monday night and get together with some of your friends. We will be leaving very early on the 23rd. We will probably return on Monday, December 29th. Let me know what you would like to do? See you soon. Love, Diane
PS When will you be here for Thanksgiving, I’m leaving for Portland on November 24th for my niece’s wedding? Jack is driving up on the 26th.
